Introduction:

This project was an idea that some students the year prior (2017) didn’t quite accomplish. A team this year was given the opportunity to work on this project. This section is in regards to the framework of the project.

Description:

The frame will be built in different sections. The parts will be ordered and parts needed to be manufactured will be manufactured to the calculated and designed dimensions in order to fit and function as supposed to.

1) The angle iron will be ordered and welded together and will then be screwed onto the existing frame that the motors are attached to.

2) The shafts will be turned into the appropriate dimensions as well as add grooves onto the shafts for more grip on the composites..

3) The walls will be cut wherever needed to, and appropriate holes will be added to where parts need to be screwed/attached to.

4) The bearings will be fitted onto the side walls.

5) The top will be machined with appropriate cuts.

6) The pins will be cutout with springs to be added to the shafts to keep their place as well as providing force to push down on the material being fed.

7) The shaft guides will be machined.

8) Bearings will be fitted into the Shaft Guide

9) The screws will be ordered and cut down to appropriate length to be able to screw the whole assembly together.

The whole assembly as a whole will consist of 12 parts which contains 45 individual parts, excluding the bolts.
